Protection of Rafut Park

Rafut Park is protected both as a natural asset and as cultural heritage.
As early as in 1952, the arboretum in Rafut, Gorizia, was declared a “natural monument,” and later a monument of designed nature. It is officially designated as a natural asset of national importance (ID 249).

In the Register of Immovable Cultural Heritagethe park is listed as: Nova Gorica – Rafut Park with Villa and is protected as a local cultural monument (EID: 1-07917).
